Food tech and artificial intelligence company Dragontail Systems (ASX: DTS) is set to make continental waves in Latin America having secured a Master Services Agreement with Food Delivery Brands Group which operates more than 2,500 stores globally, across 30 countries.
The agreement will see Dragontail collaborate with FDGB to improve process efficiency and customer satisfaction by applying Dragontail’s Algo Platform and QT AI camera system to assist restaurants with food preparation, consistency and dispatch management.
The technology is already used in various pizza chains across Europe, including Pizza Hut, and through the collaboration, the agreement will offer Dragontail with SaaS exposure to FDBG-owned chains including Telepizza, Pizza Hut, Apache and Jenos Pizza across Latin America and Europe.
“After witnessing Dragontail’s success with its Algo Platform around the world, we are excited to implement the Platform as our chosen leading technology to our stores,” said a Food Delivery Brands Group Representative.
“We see Dragontail as our strategic partner, and will jointly act to intensively promote our market presence”.
The Master Services agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two companies with Dragontail having integrated their Algo Platform initially at one Telepizza store in Ecuador in March 2020, which enabled testing and measuring of key performance indicators.
Applying Dragontail’s tech across FDBG’s wider network of stores, individual restaurants will be able to automate kitchen flow to delivery services with tracking, while the camera systems use sensors to ensure consistent application in food production such as equal topping on pizzas.
For the half-year ending 30 June 2020, Dragontail’s revenue was up 34% to $549k.
Food Delivery Brands Group has not confirmed how many stores within their network will implement the Dragontail technology.
